BIOGRAPHY
PHOTOGRAPHER MARTIN MUNSCH

I grew up in the printing & lithography industry, In North West, Bergen County, Northern New Jersey, in the late 1960's to the 1980's. As a child I was always with my father who was self employed as a graphic designer and printer for 35 years. He was also a photographer. I was educated in offset, lithography and in hand type-setting lead type fonts letterpress, and rubber block stamps as well hand feeding, a manual belt drive 1890's belt driven letterpress. I also had a serious predisposition, to photographic graphic design specifficly.

I have been involved with art-culture since my earliest recollection in my family as a child. I've had a camera in my hands since I was 3 years old. I have also worked with an extensive amount of 35mm Motion Picture with Araflex, Bolex, ARRI as well as Panavision and HD videography. My medium focus shot is naturally acquired and close to impossible for the highly accomplished.

Shooting some of the most bizarre and rare, to the most common that the mind can percieve. The only limit is time. I have placed a methodic criteria upon definition, contrasts and shades, while keeping my ability to fire off shots with the speed of an automatic machine as well as keeping the balance of a fine artist..

- "Spontaneous perfection. Is the only way to photograph anything. Portraiture, is by most standards and convention, the only way to confine all reality in a box for display
."

With a serious involvement with the early 1980's Punk & final Andy Warhol era in New York City. I have had the honor of photographing every recording artists band, that have worked with me in the studio. On tape as well as fine photography at 70mm and some 35mm Films.

- "If you don't have total control over your situation, your event has ended with your demise."

I am also an accomplished recording engineer with an accumulation of over 50 albums and over 375 inclusion recordings. As well as film and video, around the world, I Always had been around Rock & Roll and Punk bands, since the early age of 14 years old.

My first endevour was sneaking out from my home at night to see the The Clash at the legendary BONDS on 46Th St, In NY City in 1981 for 6 performances. It changed my perception of what life was all about to become for me after growing up in a affluent suburb where most young musicians in the area came from Bergen County, New Jersey.

So if you can concentrate in an environment of 120 decibels, filled with drunken annoying fans; you most likely can understand, I must handle any situation put on my plate, this side of war. Protesting mobs are easy over 20,000. They Tend to heard like animals when frightened with guns and riot gear..

- "Corporate structure and attitudes are controllable by using the word shut up or sit down and are quite comparable to grade school students and their attention span."

I have kept company with almost every major independent performing artist to grace the stage of CBGB's in New York City since 1981; As well as having the privilege working with frontman of THE CLASH, JOE STRUMMER on studio dub remixes of "Revolution Rock," That were candidly and cautiously, left to me after his death in 2002.
